Understanding Confirmation

Completing Baptism

We entered the church when we were baptised. Now we are given special gifts to use in service of others. As young adults we each have an important contribution to make to the work the church does in the world.

Receiving gifts

Each person is given special gifts by the Holy Spirit to serve others. Some are teachers, some care for others. Our gifts grow as we mature in our faith.

Beginning our spiritual journey

After Confirmation, we are now young adults and we must discover where God is leading us in life. We won’t immediately know; the spiritual journey unfolds as we mature in our faith. We must discover what gifts we have  been given, and how to use them in service of others.
